ALTERNATIVE CARVING
 Longboards
Throughout the year, but especially in the off season (May-August), the shop features Longboards (skateboards) from Longboard Larry, Motion Longboards, Subsonic, Lake Tahoe Longboards, G&S Fibreflex, and safety equipment from Pro-Tec (helmets and pads). Longboarding is the closest thing you can do to skiing or riding in the summer (unless you travel to a glacier or the southern hemisphere!) If you love to carve on snow, you'll really enjoy cruising on a longboard during the summer!
To keep your feet cool and comfortable in the off season, Alpine Base & Edge features the original "Locals" zori zori (flip flop) from Hawaii. Yes, these are the ones you see all over the beaches on the Islands. They're great looking, inexpensive, and last a long time. Two styles are available: the basic sandal is black with a colored strap and the striped sandal is black with a color sandwiched between the layers (color selections are assorted). Zori zori are sized by foot length in inches. The sizes available at the shop are: 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11, 11.5, 12, & 13.
