2011 Atomic Women's D2 VF 73 143cm with XTL 9 Bindings

This is Atomic's premier women's carving ski. The sweet spot is further forward to work with women's body geometry, for a more natural skiing stance. This ski is constructed with traditional camber to maximize stability and edge grip, even on the hardest slopes. Although this ski has excellent edge grip and stability, it is still very forgiving; thanks to the incorporation of Atomic's Double Deck Technology.

Atomic has brought their World Cup racing technology to the retail arena with the Double Deck Vario-Flex Ski. Up to now, every ski has been a compromise: nippy or forgiving, flexible at low speeds or smooth at high speeds. The D2 Doubledeck succeeds in uniting these apparent opposites. The reason is its unique construction, taken from two different skis.: the relatively soft wood core lower deck - the Adapter Deck - mutes vibrations, guarantees optimum edge-grip and makes for a perfectly smooth ride. The stabilizing Densolite upper deck - the Control Deck - acts like a steering module, receiving the skier's impulses and transmitting these directly to the lower deck.

The decks are mounted with floating bolts that ride along a rubber bushing that provides active resistance as you push the ski harder. When you are exiting a turn it uses the built up flex to give you the perfect amount of accelerating power.

This ski works great all-over the mountain but excels as a frontside carver. Get on these boards and you will understand why the pros love the versatile Doubledeck system.

This ski comes with the Atomic XTL 9 binding. It is very adjustable and has a DIN range from 2.5 to 9.
